Why I went silent

Those who read my blog regularly (thank you!!!) have noticed that I passed from one or two posts per week to zero. Those who know me personally, know that this doesn’t mean I have no writing project ongoing, it’s just that at the moment they are offline.

At the beginning of the pandemic I started writing about it, but then I realised that a. it’s too early to draw conclusions b. I didn’t experience it full on, like people in Lombardy, so I felt I was not the right person to write about it.

I decided then to dedicate this break from external noise – let’s call it like this – to reflect about broader topics I am interested in. This resulted, among other things, in a podcast about what it means to be a woman and another one on how emotional intelligence can help aid workers (but not only) cope with work related physical and mental stress

I would have a lot of myriads of things to say on what is going at the moment and that has going on forever in relation to racism (I dedicated a post on the topic some time ago already), but I rather let concerned people speak about what they are going through. I would like to share these lists of readings I came across online:

I don’t believe that the world after corona will be any different, unfortunately. However, I still believe in the power of talking about how to improve the future, and keep on trying to actually change it.
